Five Seconds: High-Impact Marketing

Finding ways to use current communications channels for promotional tools can make a huge impact for little investment. In this example, I updated this document to fit inside the information packet that ships with outbound products.

Concise document design was crucial (as always) to ensure the company got as much possible impact in the limited window of opportunity available. Most promo pages are quickly escorted to the garbage can, which some people consider a waste of resources.

“It’s like we only have 5 seconds to get our point across,” said one (somber) researcher. The researcher was correct — 5 seconds to make our point. It’s a challenge, not a death sentence. Keep it simple. Keep it focused. Make it count — before it goes into the garbage.
